VendorSoft Philosophy on Privacy:
Privacy on the VendorSoft web site (the "Site") is of great significance to us. Because VendorSoft gathers important information from our client companies (“Enterprises”) and our staffing vendors (“Vendors”), we have established this privacy policy (“Privacy Statement”) as a means to communicate our information gathering and dissemination practices. Privacy and vendor neutrality are the foundation upon which our Users’ trust in VendorSoft is based.
VendorSoft is designed to optimize the hiring lifecycle by providing an engine into which an Enterprise can enter job requirements and have them distributed to any number of selected staffing vendors. In turn, VendorSoft enables staffing vendors to participate in the hiring process by submitting candidates to those job openings for which their participation has been engaged. The software generates performance metrics for participants in the hiring lifecycle in order to help the Enterprise better understand and optimize their processes.
In order to benefit from the innovative features of VendorSoft, the application requires participants on both the Enterprise and vendor side to supply information such as names, titles, contact information, job information, candidate information, etc. We understand that, before supplying VendorSoft with that information, you may require assurances that VendorSoft will act reasonably to protect the data collected and maintain privacy.
Collected Information:
We require Enterprise and Vendor Users (collectively, the “Users”) who register to use the services offered on our Site (collectively, the "Service") to give us information, such as company name or individual name, address, phone number, e-mail address, designated contacts, job requirements and candidate submission information (collectively “Personal Information”). Users can update or remove their personal information at any time by logging into the Site and editing their Personal Information within Settings. Users can view their updated Personal Information (Profile) to confirm their edits have been made.
VendorSoft uses the information that we collect to create an account. Users are asked to provide an e-mail address when registering for the Service in order to receive a username and password. We may e-mail information to Users regarding updates to the Service or about our company. Except as provided for in the Privacy Statement or the VendorSoft End User License Agreement, we do not disclose to third parties the information provided to us.
Users of the Service will be utilizing the Site to host data and information ("Data"). By using the Service, Users have agreed that they will provide data that may be shared with other Users for the purpose of filling open job positions (“Fulfillment”). VendorSoft will not otherwise review, share, distribute, print or reference any such Data, except as provided in this Privacy Statement or in the VendorSoft End User License Agreement.
Individual records may at times be viewed or accessed for the sole purpose of resolving a problem, support issue or suspected violation of the End User License Agreement, or as may be required by law. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their user registrations and passwords.
VendorSoft may also collect certain information from Users, such as Internet addresses. This information is logged to help diagnose technical problems, and to administer our Site in order to constantly improve the quality of the Service. We may also track and analyze non-identifying and aggregate usage and volume statistical information from our Users and provide such information to third parties. If personally identifiable information is disclosed by VendorSoft to third parties acting as our agents, such third parties will be required to comply with VendorSoft’s Privacy Statement.
VendorSoft may disclose personally identifiable information in response to legal process (for example, in response to a court order or subpoena). VendorSoft may also disclose such information in response to a law enforcement agency’s request or where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our terms of use, or as otherwise required by law. In addition, VendorSoft may transfer information about Users if VendorSoft is acquired by or merged with another company.
Although we take appropriate measures to safeguard against unauthorized disclosures of information, we cannot assure Users that personally identifiable information that we collect will never be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Statement.
Cookies:
When a User or visitor interacts with the Site, we strive to make that experience easy and meaningful. When a User or visitor comes to the Site, our Web server sends a cookie to the User or visitor’s computer. Cookies are files that Web browsers place on a computer's hard drive and are used to tell us whether Users and visitors have visited the Site previously.
Stand-alone cookies do not identify a User personally. They merely recognize that User’s browser. Unless a User or visitor chooses to identify itself to VendorSoft, either by opening an account or registering for a license to use VendorSoft, it remains anonymous to VendorSoft. Cookies come in two “flavors”: session and persistent-based. Session cookies exist only during an online session and disappear from the User’s computer when the User closes its browser software or turns off its computer. Persistent cookies remain on a User’s computer after it has closed its browser or turned off its computer. Persistent cookies include such information as a unique identifier for a browser.
VendorSoft uses session cookies containing encrypted information to allow the system to uniquely identify a User while the User is logged in. This information allows VendorSoft to process a User’s online transactions and requests. Session cookies help us make sure the User is who it says it is after the User has logged in and are required in order to use the VendorSoft application.
Users who disable their Web browsers' ability to accept cookies will be able to browse our Website but may not be able to successfully use our Service.
Third Party Cookies:
VendorSoft’s live support feature is powered by a third-party service. This service may place a persistent cookie on a User’s machine in order to track its support history across multiple support sessions. These cookies enable our operators to view a complete history of a User’s support sessions and more quickly assess problems and advise the User in utilizing VendorSoft. No personally identifiable information is stored in these cookies and they can only be read and used by VendorSoft’s human support operators.
Third-Party Sites:
For our Users’ convenience, VendorSoft provides direct hyperlinks to Vendor and Enterprise websites and email addresses. VendorSoft does not know and makes no representations as to the privacy and data protection policies of these external websites. VendorSoft assumes no responsibility for the content or activities contained on these external websites and reviewing the content on these external websites is not required to use the VendorSoft application.
Opt-Out Policy:
VendorSoft offers its Users a means to choose how we may use information provided. If, at any time after sign up, a User changes its decision about receiving information from us or about sharing its information with third parties, the User should send us a request specifying its new choice. Simply send the request to support@vendorsoft.com.
Correcting & Updating Your Information:
If Users need to update or change registration information, they may do so by editing their user or organization record. To update a User Profile, log on to VendorSoft and select Settings to add or update information. To update the Enterprise data, log on to VendorSoft and select Settings, then choose Corporate Settings.
